Matt Wood

Evangelization

Hi, my name is Matt Wood. I’m a mathematics major in the class of 2023! Some of my hobbies include singing, listening to music, playing golf, hanging out with friends and meeting new people! I’m from Stafford Virginia and the diocese of Arlington at St Francis of Assisi. I’m a brother of Sigma Phi Epsilon and also enrolled in the Presidents' Leadership  Program. I will leave you with this: "Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around every once in a while you might miss it." ~ Ferris Beuller's Day Off

cup of coffee in hand.  I am always down to chat about languages, stationery, and the Bible, and I could spend hours doing just that.  In my spare time, I enjoy watching horror movies, adding to my collection of The Little Prince books, and shopping secondhand.  I find joy in loving the good things our God has put in this world – cats, coffee, trees, language, flowers, granola, prayer – and telling the people I encounter just how good they are.  During my time at CNU, the CCM community has allowed me to grow and blossom in my faith in so many ways, and I am so excited to serve our ministry and help it do the same for others.

Saints contemporary choir and teen choir as a guitarist, singer, and a clarinetist. After high school, I became a candidate member of the Youth Apostles institute, a group of consecrated, single, and married men who pray and work together on working with youth ministry. I'm currently a Spanish and Communications major with a minor in leadership. Aside from CCM, I'm a jumper and multi-athlete for the CNU track and field team. One of  my favorite phrases to use with regards to balancing athletics and faith is one by my spiritual director, Father Capo, “Strong for the kingdom, fit for the Lord.” I'm very excited to be on the Leadership team and am ready for my new chapter in life as getting people STRONG for the Kingdom and FIT for the Lord!

college students embrace their faith on campus! The community was so welcoming to me my freshman year and helped me grow in my faith. I met so many amazing people at college through the CCM community and I made many strong friendships! In my free time, I love working out, baking, playing sports, and hanging out with my friends and family. I am also a lover of the outdoors! Since the short time I’ve been away at college, CNU has become my second home and the CCM community has become my second family. I pray that our community will impact everyone as greatly as it did for me. I am thrilled to serve the CCM community this year and am excited to meet more wonderful people!

Vice President

Gabe Hain

Hey y’all, my name is Gabe Hain and I am a sophomore here at CNU majoring in Physics with minors in Computer Science and Biology. On the weekdays you can probably find me studying in the library, watching YouTube at the CCM house, or getting fit for the Lord in the gym. Once the weekend rolls around, my bike Betty and I like to get off

campus and spend some time shredding the gnar up in the mountains, or I’ll be hanging out with the boys before Mass. You know what they say, Saturdays are for the boys, and Sundays bring joy. I’m also a volunteer Firefighter / EMT, so if things go bad, I can save your life.

Nate Andres

My name is Nathaniel Andres you can call me Nathan, Nate, Andres, Friendly Neighbor, or really anything so long as I respond to it. I am planning on studying to be a computer engineer. This past year I have been a part of the boys frisbee club Skymaul and CCM and have enjoyed the people that I have met. If Joseph wasn't my middle name, it would have to be

competition, I love playing games such as sports, video games, board games you name it I will either know it or give it a shot.  I have two older brothers and two half-blood sisters(Katie and Claire). All of my brothers and I are Eagle Scouts. My Eagle Scout project stemmed from my eight grade science fair project and became realized during my senior year of high school. From my research of smoke detectors, I found that the older smoke detectors got the more corroded and used the parts became such as the sound mechanism using an led setup to note when the smoke detectors were triggered. Anyway, my Eagle Scout Project served 408 houses along the townhouses between Forester Boulevard and West Springfield High School.  There is one of my favorite parts with my past and if you ever want to talk and pick my brains just walk up to me and hit me on the shoulder or pull my arm to get my attention.
